Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 frozen ginger cubes
- 1 pound shaved beef steak
- 3 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup frozen green beans
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 scallions, thinly sliced, for topping
- Trader Joe’s Crunchy Chili Onion, for topping
Method
- Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil with the garlic and ginger until the ginger has melted and the garlic is fragrant.
- Add the beef in a single layer and cook until no longer pink, about 4 minutes.
- Add the cooked rice, frozen peas, frozen green beans, and water. Cover and steam for 6 to 7 minutes.
- Move the mixture to one side of the pan. Add another 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil and the eggs, then scramble the eggs.
- Once the eggs are cooked, add the soy sauce and combine everything.
- Cover and cook for another 7 minutes.
- Serve topped with crunchy chili onion and sliced scallions.
